An electronic proportional regulator regulates the output to avoid battery from over charging. However at the same time feeding to external electrical loads takes place.

Fundamentally a belt driven starter for engines with low power, where the external load connected to the dynamo or alternator is not very high. It caters to the needs like battery charging, low output electrical loads, apart from starting the engine, doing away with self starters, ring gears, solenoid and other peripherals connected with a conventional self starter.
